The administration of the Max Planck Institute of Brain Research aims at supporting the scientists by providing all necessary administrative and technical support such as personnel, accounting, purchasing, reception and technical services. In addition we maintain a guest house as well as transport, gardening and laundry services. A mechanical workshop as part of the Technical Service Department constructs and maintains scientific devices. 23 staff members currently work in all of these areas. Our goal is to strengthen and support the scientific departments and research groups by providing focused, efficient and helpful services, unburdened by bureaucratic weight.
